Can Plastic White Pollution Turn Cleaner? Experts Say So!

England and Brazil joint research team on the ACS applied materials and interfaces published an article, it describes how the synthetic dyes are used in the global apparel industry plastic processing in packaging and containers.

Using polystyrene as raw material, a new method of freezing and expansion is adopted to make a new kind of intelligent nano-particle material.

In solid conditions, it can be used to remove harmful synthetic dyes, which are carcinogenic and are a chronic reproductive toxin in humans and animals.


The project was conducted by professor Julian Eastoe of the department of chemistry at Bristol university and professor Rodrigo JdeOliveira of the state university of brabalba. Professor east commented:
