Jun 26, 2017

A carrier is a dispersing agent, an adhesive, or a support for a catalytically active component, a skeleton of a supported active component. The active component and cocatalyst component are supported on the carrier, and the prepared catalyst becomes a supported catalyst.

The type of common carrier: low specific surface area are: corundum, silicon carbide, pumice, diatomite, asbestos, refractory brick; high specific surface area are: alumina, SiO2-Al2O3, bauxite, clay, activated carbon, silica gel, Magnesium Oxide.
